Politics is often presented as if you need three degrees, a subscription to five newspapers and a secret handshake to understand it.

You don’t.

The Simple Politician exists to break down politics, history, economics and current affairs into something that normal people can actually read without falling asleep.

Here you’ll find analysis, debate, controversial opinions, unpopular opinions, and occasionally opinions that turn out to be completely wrong. That’s the risk of having them.

I hold a Master’s degree in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds, which means I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time reading books that most people would use as doorstops.

Whether you’re interested in elections, wars, economics, political scandals or the latest example of a politician saying something spectacularly unwise, there’s something here for you.

So have a look around, read an article, leave a comment, challenge my arguments, or tell me why I’m completely wrong.

Just be prepared for me to argue back.
